We Have Launched

We are pleased to announce that 7 Generations Institute & 7 Generations Africa successfully launched alongside the United Nations General Assembly 2025. This event, co-hosted by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors with support from the African Philanthropy Forum and Knightsbridge Circle, marked the beginning of a transformative Pan-African movement.

Our mission is clear: transitioning family wealth into multigenerational family offices to create a timely new investor class and strategic partner to the traditional development ecosystem.

Pan-Africa Engagement: Stop 1

"Catalyzing Impact Investing"

Nairobi, as East Africa’s financial hub, offered the ideal launch point for bringing the movement home. Hosted alongside the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA), this convening explored a reimagined capital architecture.

Key Dialogue: Dr. Manish Shah

Chairman of Kingsway Group, Dr. Shah illustrated how a True Family Office™ acts as a crisis governance structure. He shared how his family’s values-aligned governance allowed them to retain all employees during COVID-19, proving that family offices are systems of stewardship, not just wealth.

Vested World Insights

The VP of Vested World highlighted the “Family Office Advantage,” noting that families often bring political and social capital to investees beyond just financial resources, allowing for flexible, patient capital deployment across the spectrum.

Pan-Africa Engagement: Stop 2

"Prosperity Coalitions for the NextGen"

Building on the momentum from Nairobi, the Lagos convening brought together nearly 100 invitees alongside the Africa Prosperity Summit. The dialogue centered on regulatory gaps and the critical need to stop wealth leakage to offshore centers.

Critical Inflection Points

  • Structural Gaps: Participants identified regulatory ambiguity and a lack of conflict-free advisory ecosystems as key blockers to Family Office formation.
  • NextGen Leadership: Young family members expressed a strong desire for leadership development that goes beyond financial literacy—focusing on stewardship, identity, and global fluency rooted in African heritage.

Development partners, including UNDP and Africa Finance Corporation, reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with African families to mobilize catalytic, blended capital.
